so today is a dark day. i found out that the great lane foard has officially folded his card business, squibnocket, and has moved on to bigger things...like working for apple to make them cooler than they already are. it was only a short six years ago that i found myself tracking lane down and calling his san francisco apartment to ask him, no beg him, to send me this card i had seen that week on a friend's fridge. i could only remember the first few lines:
here i am, rock me like a hurricane... is sort of my way of saying, would you like to go out sometime?
not only did he send it. but he told me i could just send a check in the mail for $4.60 whenever i got the chance.
