sufjan stevens was one of my greatest discoveries of 2006, so you can imagine the cartwheel i did this morning when trolling for christmas music, with both harper and great jones on my chest, i came upon this beautiful song. for as much as i like the classics during this season, i also like songs that remind me that it's not all candy canes and egg nog and that it's okay to experience things during this time other than the sweetness of our lord and savior or the long lines at target. try not to let the goth girl with the princess phone and affinity for plucking rose petals distract from the merits of this song. youtube is still relatively new and we must work with what we have.
