on blogging

now i would like to say a word about blogs: don't run one unless you can keep in mind that you are writing for the enjoyment of others. if you don't want to write for the enjoyment of others and you want to just prattle on about how you feel or how you feel about the things that happen to you or how you feel about the things that have not yet happened to you or perhaps if you find yourself quoting long blocks of rumi...i'd like to suggest a journal. one with a lock and key. and go ahead and throw away that key now 'cause if we really cared about what you had to say, we'd just bust it open on some rock anyway.
