from where i sit this evening it seems like everyone is hurting just a bit more than usual. the emails and calls from friends today carry a certain sadness that's hard to shake. maybe its the rain or 9/11 or the newly broken hearts or the old ones we can't seem to heal. i don't know... but the bag of garbage on the stoop seems all too heavy to carry down tonight.
