i need hairapy
i always knew that if i ever had a child, one of my supreme joys would be to do their hair.
yes, even if they were a boy. because i love doing hair. i want to have a salon in a carport like dolly parton in 'steel magnolias' and i want to own that blue water that the combs go in and i want to have girl talk all day long. but, no dice. this is all a pipe dream because sadly, i gave birth to a wolverine. no matter how many cute barrettes or hair ties i buy, i cannot get my daughter to have any style that doesn't involve dirty strings of hair hanging down in her face. it drives me crazy. so much so that i have begin to do her hair while she sleeps. i'll admit this is strange. and it's downright embarrassing when your three and a half year old opens one eye at midnight and says, "mom...enough."
i am so glad i have this picture. this is exactly how i'm going to do harper's hair on prom night.
