the falling man

i woke up thinking of 9/11 this morning. and about how, that night, i walked from 18th and 2nd all the way up to 85th and amsterdam and didn't see a soul. i walked through time square (ala tom cruise in vanilla sky) and saw a single bottle being dropped from a high window. and that was all.

so in speaking of 9/11 and of things falling out of windows, i bring you this video. it's called 'the falling man' and it tells the most human story of 9/11 i have experienced to date. i've watched it a dozen times. it is graphic, overwhelming, and, in my opinion, necessary because it shows the importance of retaining one's human's dignity, even in the most desolate of circumstances.
